In short

No account or ads. Receipt Camera does not send your receipt photos or usage information to us. You choose whether to share a file. Other photo apps can back up saved photos if you turn that on.

Access we ask for

The app only asks for access it needs to photograph a page and save the result on your phone. Capture, save and PDF (Portable Document Format) creation work offline. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

Camera

Required to use the app. The camera is used only when you open the camera screen and tap Capture, so you can photograph receipts, letters, and documents. It is not used in the background, and the app does not record video or sound.

Photos and storage (to save)

On older Android phones, the app asks for storage access when you tap Save. This lets it save the photo in the Receipt Camera album (Pictures/Receipt Camera). It does not ask to view your other photos.

• This access is only for saving your scans. The app’s gallery shows photos saved with Receipt Camera.
• The app does not ask to read your camera roll or browse other apps’ photos.
• If you do not allow storage access, you can still take a photo and share it from the review screen. To save it in the Receipt Camera album, allow storage access.

What we do not ask for

• Microphone or video recording
• Your contacts, location or information that identifies your phone
• Access to your other photos
• Internet access for scanning, saving photos or making PDFs. Help and Privacy links open in your browser.

Photos on your phone

Finding the page, straightening it, and trimming the edges happen on your phone. If you tap Save, the photo is stored in the Receipt Camera album. After Save, the in-app gallery lists only scans this app saved - not your other photos. If you uninstall and reinstall, the in-app gallery starts empty until you save again; files may still be in the system Photos app under Receipt Camera.

Share

Tap Share and choose the app you want to use. That app handles sending or saving the photo or PDF. A PDF is not added to your photo album. Receipt Camera does not send the file to us, and we do not sell your photos or data.

Your phone’s photo or backup apps may upload saved scans if you enable their backup settings. Those services are separate from Receipt Camera.

No data collection

We do not gather data from you. There is no account. We do not receive your photos, settings, or anything else from the app. There are no ads, analytics, or crash reports sent to us. Settings stay on your phone.

How to delete

Delete scans in the in-app gallery, or from the Receipt Camera album in your system Photos or Files app. Uninstalling the app does not always remove those photos; delete them on the phone if you want them gone. There is no account to close.

Not a financial product

Receipt Camera saves receipt photos and makes PDFs to share. It does not read amounts, file tax or connect to a bank.

Not for children

Receipt Camera is a camera for receipts and letters. It is not designed for children.

Help & Support, Privacy Policy, and Built by A1KnowHow open in your usual browser. This website has no sign-up forms and does not set tracking cookies. If you email us, we will use that address only to reply. a1knowhow.com has its own policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. The app Settings screen links here, so you can re-read it without waiting for an app update.
